Sylmar sisters sought after a woman they treated dies
Mayra Lissette Contreras, 22, died after receiving a silicone injection, police say. Suspects Guadalupe Viveros, 53, and her sister, Alejandra, 50, may have fled to Mexico. Detectives are searching for two Sylmar sisters who allegedly ran an illegal cosmetic fillers business that led to the death of a patient who received a silicone injection in her buttocks.

Contest pays off for beauty school student
A Round Lake Beach woman is attending beauty school with the help ofa $5,000 scholarship she was awarded through a social networking contest. Kassandra Contreras, 21, entered the online contest sponsored by Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in Libertyville, and her entry, before and after photos of her mother, garnered 208 votes.
